1. SCOPE OF WEBSITE PRIVACY NOTICE
This Privacy Notice describes how Watt Data Inc. and our affiliates ("Watt Data," "we," "us" or "our") collect, use, and disclose personal information from the following ("Covered Individuals"):
- Individuals who visit our websites (wattdata.ai, app.wattdata.ai, and any other website of ours that links to this Privacy Notice) (our "Site(s)"); and
- Individuals who use the Watt platform (the "Watt Data Services"), either as an individual user or as a representative of an organization ("Users").
Watt Data determines the purposes and means of processing of Covered Individual's personal information as described in this Privacy Notice and therefore acts as a data "controller" or a "business" (as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act) with respect to such processing.
The Watt Data Services also provide a technology layer that searches, indexes, reasons over, scores, and composes signals on behalf of customers based on data made available to customers by vendors. Vendors are responsible for the data they make available to customers, including the rights, permissions, consents, notices, lawful bases, restrictions, and compliance obligations applicable to it. For information about a vendor's privacy practices, you should refer to the vendor's website. Likewise, we process information on behalf of our customers, including lists they supply to use the Watt Data Services, and you should refer to their websites for more information about their applicable privacy practices.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT DIRECTLY FROM COVERED INDIVIDUALS, AND HOW WE USE IT
We collect personal information directly from you when you visit our Sites or use the Watt Data Services. This includes information you provide when you set up an account, submit queries through our API or MCP server, or correspond with us via customer support tools, by email, or otherwise.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AUTOMATICALLY FROM COVERED INDIVIDUALS AND HOW WE USE IT
We collect personal information automatically when you visit our Sites or use the Watt Data Services. We use this information to provide you with the Sites and Watt Data Services, to ensure security, to monitor and improve our Sites and the Watt Data Services, and for marketing and promotional purposes.

Much of this information is collected through cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies, which may be operated by our vendors who assist us in collecting information about usage of the Site, serving ads, or providing other services to you. We may also use cookies set by other third-party services.
Some cookies are our own but we also work with third parties who set their cookies from our website pages and help us run our websites (these are called third-party cookies) and who may share the information collected with our third-party service and marketing partners for enhancing and improving the Site and/or for our marketing or promotional purposes.
You may be able to opt out of tracking by cookies or control how information collected by cookies is used via a number of means. For example, you may opt out of data collection by Google Analytics by visiting https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
4. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for our legitimate business interests and to satisfy any legal or reporting requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information, and the applicable legal requirements.
5. DISCLOSURES OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose your personal information to the following categories of third parties:
Service providers. We may disclose your personal information to our service providers that perform services for us or on our behalf, including: cloud hosting and infrastructure; security and fraud prevention; professional services such as legal and accounting services; billing services; and analytics services.
Third parties involved in advertising and marketing. We share information with third parties who assist us in serving advertising regarding the Services, who may also use the information for commercial purposes. These third parties may include parties who use tracking technologies on our Site to collect or receive information from the Site and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads.
Affiliates. We may disclose your personal information affiliates of Watt Data for our day-to-day business operations.
Third parties in the context of a corporate transaction. We may disclose your personal information to third parties in connection with a transaction, such as a merger, sale of assets or shares, reorganization, financing, change of control, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business. Such a transaction might involve disclosing personal information to prospective or actual purchasers, sellers, and their advisers.
Law enforcement, regulators, and other parties for legal reasons. We may disclose your personal information to comply with legal obligations, to protect our rights, or in response to a court order or legal process. We may also disclose your personal information as necessary to enforce terms of a contract, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Watt Data, its users, or any other person, and to prevent fraud and abuse of our services.
6. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
Categories of personal information collected. In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, within the last 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information about Covered Individuals:
- Identifiers (e.g., name, email address, phone number, postal address, IP address, or other similar identifiers);
- Categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)) (e.g., name, address, telephone number, employment, employment history);
- Internet or other similar network activity (e.g., browsing history, search history, information regarding interaction with websites or applications);
- Geolocation data (e.g., general location derived from an IP address); and
- Professional or employment-related information (e.g., employer, job title, work history).
We obtain these categories of personal information directly from you and/or automatically, as described in Sections 2 and 3 of this Privacy Notice.
Sale and sharing of personal information. We use cookies and related tracking technologies that disclose internet or other similar network activity information and identifiers to third party advertising and analytics providers. Such disclosures are considered "sales" of personal information or "sharing" for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. Sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under the CCPA, except for account log-in credentials of our Users, which we use only for the purpose of providing the Watt Data Services.
Retention of personal information. We retain personal information as described in the "How long we retain your information" section of this Privacy Notice.
Your rights under the CCPA. If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to know and access. You may request information about and access to the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of personal information, the sources from which it was collected, the business or commercial purposes for collection, sale, or sharing, the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed it, and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information. When you submit a deletion request, we will delete your personal information from our records and direct our service providers, contractors and others to delete your personal information as required by law.
- Right to correction. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To exercise this right:

- If your browser supports Global Privacy Control (GPC), we will treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out request for that browser
- Right to non-discrimination. You have the right to receive non-discriminatory treatment when you exercise your privacy rights.
Submitting requests. To exercise your rights to know, access, delete, or correct, please use our webform or contact us at legal@wattdata.ai.
If you make a request to know, access, delete or correct, you will be required to verify your identity. In order to do this, we will request that you match specific pieces of information we have been provided previously. If it is necessary to collect additional information from you, we will use the information only for verification purposes and will delete it as soon as practicable after complying with the request. For requests relating to particularly sensitive information, we may require additional proof of identification.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing written authorization. We may require you to verify your identity directly with us and confirm that you authorized the agent to act on your behalf.
7. RESIDENTS OF OTHER U.S. STATES
Depending on the state in which you reside, you have the following rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you. In addition to California (described above), state laws currently provide these rights in: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia.
- Right to access. You have the right to confirm whether we are processing your personal information and to obtain a copy of that information.
- Right to correction. You have the right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to deletion. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale. You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.
- Right to opt out of targeted advertising. You have the right to opt out of processing of your personal information for purposes of targeted advertising. To opt out, update your settings in our consent management platform available here.
- Right to opt out of profiling. You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
- Right to data portability. You have the right to obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
- Right to appeal. If we decline to take action on a request, you have the right to appeal our decision. To appeal, please contact us at legal@wattdata.ai with the subject line "Privacy Rights Appeal."
- Right to non-discrimination. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.
Additionally, residents of Connecticut, Minnesota, Oregon and Rhode Island have the right to request a list of the third parties to whom we have sold their personal information. To exercise these rights, please contact us at legal@wattdata.ai.
8. CONTROL OVER YOUR INFORMATION
Do Not Track. While your browser may send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal, DNT standards have not been established and we do not currently respond to DNT signals.
Global Privacy Control. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from browsers that support it. When we detect a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information/targeted advertising. Marketing preferences. We may contact you with information about our products and services. You can stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our marketing emails and following the instructions therein. You may not opt out of service-related communications (e.g., account verification, transactional communications, changes or updates to features of the Watt Data Services, technical and security notices).
9. SECURING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, abuse, loss, and other disruption. These measures include administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of personal information.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
The personal information we collect may be transferred to and stored in countries outside of the jurisdiction you are in, including the United States, where we and our third-party service providers have operations.
11. LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY SITES
The Watt Data Services and Sites may contain links to and from third-party websites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy notices and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their notices. Please check the individual notices before you submit any information to those websites.
12. INFORMATION ABOUT CHILDREN
The Watt Data Services and our Sites are not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 18, please contact us using the details set out in the "Contact Us" section below.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE
We may change this Privacy Notice at any time. We will post new versions of this Privacy Notice on our Sites and identify the date they take effect. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Watt Data Services or by other means.
